1) Branch Meeting, TODAY, 13:00-14:00, LT3, Arts Complex
Two items of University of Bristol UCU branch business on the agenda [link]:
- A motion to approve our University of Bristol/Bristol UCU Collective Agreement to Address the Gender Pay Gap [link], and a presentation/discussion of the Agreement.
- Our next phase of industrial actions and the current proposal for a further 14-days of strike action starting on 20th February.
The meeting will also see the launch of ‘Bristol UCU E-Ballot Consultation on Proposed Further 14-Days of Strike Action’, to be emailed to Bristol UCU members after the meeting.
2) University of Bristol/Bristol UCU Collective Agreement to Address the Gender Pay Gap
‘Our General Meeting on Wednesday presents an opportunity to accept and endorse the very first Collective Agreement on Gender Pay in the UK HE Sector’, writes Bristol UCU Vice President and Claim Negotiator Suzy Cheeke.
‘This agreement is the culmination of 18 months of negotiation between Bristol UCU and the University, and comes with a unanimous recommendation to members to accept it from the Branch Executive Committee’.
